Overview
Privee AI is run by Butter Games LLC, a US company with an address in Newark, Delaware. It launched in 2024: the first iOS version came out in August and a press release announced the app in October. You chat, roleplay and tell stories with characters that you or other users make, on iPhone, Android or the web, and you can browse genres such as Fantasy, Anime, Sci-Fi, Mystery and Cozy. The free four-step creator takes a personality of up to 4,000 characters, a scenario, greetings and example dialogues. It can also draft a character from a short idea or import .png, .json or .byaf character cards. Privee+ adds group chats with 2 to 6 characters and interactive stories where your choices shape the plot.
Portraits can be generated in a Realistic or Illustration style or uploaded. In characters that support it, typing /image draws the current scene. The App Store and APKPure listings advertise strong memory and realistic voices, but the official site and guides document neither, and there is no video. The app runs on the company's own technology built on open-source language models, and no model is named. The free plan has daily message and image limits that are not published, and Privee+ raises them about fourfold rather than removing them. The app is available in English only, and a June 2026 update rebuilt it as a native app.

The App Store also lists a $29.99 'Privee AI Pro' item with no billing period, and one-off packages from $9.99 (Rookie) to $119.99 (Legend). Neither the store nor the official site says what the packages contain; an undated third-party listing describes them as credit packs. Other third-party listings quote Privee+ at $13.99 a month, which does not match the store. The refund policy says purchases on priveeai.com are non-refundable except for company errors, technical problems or where local law requires a refund. Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases go through the store.
