Verdict
Nomi has some of the best memory and most natural conversation of any companion app, and its yearly plan is good value. It allows adult text roleplay but not nude images. The downsides are practical: no app in EU stores, two removals from Google Play in autumn 2026, self-declared age checks and a no-refund policy.

Overview

Nomi, made by the US startup Glimpse.ai, launched in 2023 and built its reputation on memory. Each companion keeps short, medium and long-term memories, and Mind Maps show what it has learned about you so you can check or correct it. A paid plan lets you run up to ten Nomis, put them in group chats and give each one a detailed backstory, desires and boundaries.
Media caught up in 2026. The V5 image system keeps a companion's face consistent across selfies, and V3 video turns an image into a clip of up to 15 seconds. Voice messages and hands-free calls come with a subscription, and extra images or videos are paid with credits. Nomi is English-first: the interface is in English and voice is designed mainly for English.

Privacy & safety
Nomi has no breaches or fines on record and says it does not sell personal data. Its weak points are self-declared age checks, anonymized training data kept after deletion, and a 2025 safety incident.
