Where our information comes from
Each review is built from sources anyone can check: the app's own pricing, terms and privacy pages; App Store and Google Play listings; Trustpilot and Reddit discussions; press coverage; and regulator decisions or court filings where they exist. Every review lists its main sources at the bottom.
Each review also shows the month its facts were last checked. Prices and features in this market change often, so check the official site before you pay.
How scoring works
Each app gets a score from 0 to 10 on six criteria. The overall score is a weighted average of the six, and the rankings follow the overall score.

A 9 or 10 means best in class right now. A 7 or 8 is good with clear limits. A 5 or 6 works but has real problems. Below 5, we would point most people to something else.
How we judge privacy and safety
- Has the company leaked user data, and how did it respond?
- Has a regulator fined or investigated it, or is it facing lawsuits over user harm?
- Does it say whether chats are used to train AI models, and can you opt out?
- Can you delete your account and your chats yourself?
- How does it check ages and respond to users in crisis?

AI Girlfriend Score is supported by affiliate commissions. When you subscribe to an app through some of our links, the app may pay us a commission. You pay the same price.
Commissions do not affect scores. The ranking is calculated from the six criteria above, with one exception: the app marked BEST is our editorial choice and is shown first. Its score is calculated the same way as every other app's and is shown next to it. We also review apps that pay us nothing. Affiliate links open the app's site in a new tab and are marked as sponsored for search engines.
Updates and corrections
We update a review when prices, features or policies change, and the date at the top of each review moves with it. If a review and the official site disagree, trust the official site.
Who this site is for
This site is for adults aged 18 and over. Several of the apps we review allow adult content. We describe their policies in neutral terms and don't show explicit material.
