Janitor AI, run by JanitorAI Inc. in the US, launched in 2023 and hosts a library of millions of user-made bots. It allows adult text roleplay between adult characters under its Limitless tag, while banning sexual images, minor-coded characters and real private individuals. Official iOS and Android apps arrived in early 2026 as betas; they start in a filtered Safe Mode, and adult content is switched on from the website.
The free JanitorLLM gives roughly 8,000 to 9,000 tokens of context, enough for a moderate chat history. Many users instead paste in their own API key, so their chats run on a model they pay a third party for, which also means those chats go to that provider.
