Verdict
Reez puts a dating-app layer on AI companionship. You swipe on preset characters who each have their own looks, voice and moods, and the FAQ says they remember earlier chats. Chat is free until you hit a usage limit, and credits unlock the photos and videos characters send, but prices are not published before sign-up, all purchases are final, and no public source shows a way to create your own character. The April 2026 privacy policy is clearer than most, with GDPR rights and fixed retention periods, but the operator is barely documented, the service is still in beta, and independent reviews do not exist yet.

Overview
Reez is run by AlterEcho Limited, a company set up in the Republic of Cyprus. A startup directory places it in Nicosia and lists no founders or funding, and no launch date is published. Reez calls itself an AI dating and companion app and runs only in the browser at reez.app. The reez.ai domain has nothing to do with it and is for sale. You swipe right or like characters on the Match tab, then chat with them in real time. Each character is an AI-generated persona with its own appearance, voice, backstory and personality. Some are written to be slow to open up rather than always agreeable.
Characters share photos and videos in chat, and you unlock them with credits. The FAQ says each character keeps context from earlier chats, but it gives no detail on context length or memory editing. It also does not say whether a character's voice means audio messages or calls. No public source shows a character creator, so you choose from the existing cast. The April 2026 terms still call Reez a beta whose features may change or break. A third-party scan reports that the site is built with the Lovable app builder, and the site does not say which languages characters chat in.

Pricing

Chat is free up to a usage limit, and credits unlock the photos and videos characters share. The terms mention credits, subscriptions and other paid features, but name no plans and give no auto-renewal or cancellation terms. All purchases are final and non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. If you think you were charged by mistake, the terms tell you to contact support. Unused credits are not refunded if your account is closed for breaking the rules.
Prices are in US dollars before tax and change often. Check the official site before you pay.
Privacy & safety
Reez's April 2026 privacy policy is clearer than most, with GDPR rights, fixed retention periods and no advertising cookies, and no breaches are known. However, the operator is barely documented, chats go to unnamed AI providers, and the policy does not say whether chats train AI models.
- CautionThe April 2026 privacy policy names AlterEcho Limited in Cyprus as the data controller but gives no street address or registration number. Beyond a startup directory listing, the company has no public profile.
- CautionChats go to unnamed AI service providers. The policy does not say whether chats train AI models; it says messages are used to deliver and improve the service. Age is checked only by date of birth or self-confirmation.
- NoteThe policy follows GDPR. It treats chat content as sensitive data processed with your consent. Messages are kept for the life of the account plus 30 days and payment records for 7 years. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and there is a data protection contact. The policy says conversation data is not sold or used for advertising.
- NoteTo close your account or have your data deleted, you email [email protected]; there is no self-service option. No breaches or regulator actions found.
What users say
There is very little independent feedback on Reez. It has no Trustpilot page and no app store listings, and as of October 2026 no Reddit threads or press reviews have appeared. A startup directory shows a rating of 4.3 from just 9 votes with no written reviews, which is too few to judge. Reez also runs an affiliate program that pays up to 40% of revenue, so expect promotional reviews.
