Verdict

HeyGF covers the basics of a girlfriend app at a low entry price. It has a free tier of 30 messages a day, about 200 adult preset characters, a picture-card character creator, two photo styles, voice calls at 1 coin a minute and video clips of up to 15 seconds. Every paid plan unlocks the same features, so the higher tiers mostly buy more coins, and plan coins expire at the end of each billing period. Its official guide describes no way to view or edit memories, and there are no store apps or group chats. The operator, Y2A LLC, has almost no public footprint, its documents contradict each other on training with your chats, and there is almost no independent user feedback yet.

Overview

HeyGF (styled heyGF.AI) is run by Y2A LLC. Its terms give a shared registered-agent-style address in Dover, Delaware. The domain dates from May 2025, and little is public about the company beyond HeyGF's own legal pages; one startup database describes a private, self-funded team of one to ten people with no named founders. HeyGF works only in desktop and mobile browsers, with no App Store or Google Play app. It offers about 200 preset girlfriends, all women listed as 18 or older and searchable by name, country, personality, job and hobby, plus a custom character creator. Each chat runs either in 'Real chat' mode, with short text-message-style replies, or in 'Roleplay' mode, with longer narrated scenes.

Photos come in a 'Lifelike' or a 'Precision' style. You can make variations, and you can upload a reference image to set a pose or outfit. Nude images are for paid plans only. Videos are animated from a photo: the Ultra Fast and Standard models make 5- or 8-second clips, and the Best model also makes 10- or 15-second clips and is the only one with sound. Voice notes and live calls use each character's fixed voice and accent, and calls end after 30 minutes. Memory is kept separately for each girlfriend as a profile of facts plus short dated notes, and each reply reads the latest few dozen messages and about ten notes. There are no group chats or community features, and HeyGF does not name the AI models it uses.

Pricing

The About page and an official September 2026 blog post list Casual at $9.99 a month (150 coins), Closer at $19.99 (350 coins) and Exclusive at $39.99 (800 coins). With annual billing, the pricing page (October 2026) shows $8.33, $15.83 and $29.17 a month, but no yearly total. All paid plans unlock the same features and differ only in coins, and each girl's full photo gallery is unlocked only on annual plans.

The pricing page's 'Save 44%', 'Save 55%' and 'Save 64%' badges are measured against unlabelled $15, $35 and $80 figures, not the published monthly prices. Either those figures are inflated reference prices or monthly prices have gone up. Coins pay for photos (3 each), voice notes (10), calls (1 a minute), videos (25) and custom characters (20). Plan coins expire at the end of each billing period. Top-up coins do not expire and cost from about 15 cents each in the smallest pack to about 5 cents in the largest. Failed photo or video jobs refund their coins. Partial periods, coin packs and custom media are not refunded, and billing errors are handled case by case.

Privacy & safety

HeyGF names its operator and has no known breaches. But its privacy policy, terms and AI disclaimer disagree on whether your chats train its AI, it passes identifiers to several ad and analytics firms, and full deletion has to be requested by email.

• CautionHeyGF's documents contradict each other on training. The privacy policy (September 11, 2026) says conversations are not used to train AI models, but the AI disclaimer says chats may be used to train and refine models, and the terms grant a licence to use your inputs to improve the service.
• CautionYour email, name and account ID may be passed to Meta, Google, Microsoft, Reddit, X and PostHog when you sign up, sign in or buy, and chats go to unnamed AI model providers. No retention period or data location is given, and the policy has a short CCPA section but no GDPR section.
• CautionDeleting your account in Settings only closes access and keeps a record. Full erasure needs an email to [email protected] and takes up to 30 days. Age is self-declared.
• NoteThe privacy policy says data is not sold and is encrypted in transit and at rest, and the FAQ says bank statements do not mention 'AI girlfriend'. No breaches, lawsuits or regulator actions found.

What users say

There is very little independent feedback on HeyGF. The homepage claims a 4.8 average rating and more than 50,000 users without naming a source. There is no Trustpilot profile or app-store listing, its Product Hunt launch drew no upvotes or comments, and there is hardly any Reddit discussion. Similarweb estimated about 76,000 visits in September 2026, down 16.6% on the month, led by the US and Germany. HeyGF pays affiliates a 40% lifetime revenue share, so many online write-ups about it may be affiliate-driven.
